Description

A creamy, cozy fall drink made with real pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and melted dark chocolate. It’s rich, nourishing, and perfect for sipping on cool autumn days.

Ingredients

3 tbsp pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

2 tbsp raw cacao powder or Dutch-processed cocoa powder

1 tbsp natural peanut butter or almond butter (or use sunflower seed butter/tahini for nut-free)

1 tbsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 tbsp dark chocolate chips or ½ oz dark chocolate bar (dairy-free if vegan)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

2 cups unsweetened oat milk or soy milk

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients:
Add the pumpkin puree, cacao powder, nut butter, maple syrup, chocolate, vanilla, pumpkin spice, salt, and milk to a medium saucepan.

  2. Warm and Whisk:
Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk continuously until the chocolate melts and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Avoid boiling.

  3. Blend (Optional):
For a perfectly silky texture, use an immersion blender once the mixture is heated through.

  4. Serve:
Pour into two mugs and top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of pumpkin spice, or chocolate shavings. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess: Use oat or coconut milk.
  • For more protein: Try soy or pea milk.
  • For sweetness: Taste before serving and add more maple syrup if desired.
  • For lighter texture: Add a few tablespoons of water or more milk to thin it out.
  • For flavor variety: Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy mocha vibe or a drizzle of caramel for extra indulgence.
