Ingredients

1 package (14 oz) little smokies (cocktail sausages)

1 pound bacon, cut into thirds

1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cut each bacon slice into three equal pieces.

  3. Wrap each little smokie with a piece of bacon and place it seam-side down in a 13×9-inch glass baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top, making sure each piece is lightly coated.

  5. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours for best flavor (optional but recommended).

  6. Remove cover and bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar has melted into a sticky glaze.

  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For an extra sweet and spicy kick, mix a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder into the brown sugar before sprinkling.
  • Want them extra caramelized? Broil for the last 2–3 minutes — just watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Serve them fresh from the oven — the crisp bacon and gooey sugar coating taste best when warm!
  • These are ideal for make-ahead party appetizers — prep in advance and bake when guests arrive.
